From the moment I stepped into Bagel Gourmet, I knew I was in for something special. The lady at the front counter greeted me with a warm, genuine smile that instantly set the tone for what would be an unforgettable experience. I placed my order for two turkey sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches on cheddar bagels with jalapeno cheese, and to my surprise, she even remembered my name--something I can't say happens often. It felt personal, and I appreciated that thoughtful touch. I took a seat and momentarily scanned my phone, when suddenly, a kind gentleman appeared from the back with a big smile, walking over to me to personally hand me my order in a neatly packaged brown bag. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and the care they took in ensuring everything was perfect was immediately evident. As I always do, I checked my bag to make sure nothing was missing. Inside, I found two massive bagels, each perfectly wrapped in aluminum foil, holding the promise of something extraordinary. Before I left, I exchanged a quick goodbye with both the lady and the gentleman behind the counter, feeling genuinely valued as a customer. When I got home, I let the bagels sit for about 10 minutes to cool slightly before sharing one with my brother. What happened next was nothing short of magical. As I took my first bite, I was instantly struck by how fresh and warm the bagel still was--an absolute rarity. The combination of creamy cheese, perfectly melted eggs, savory turkey sausage, and just the right amount of jalapeno kick was a flavor explosion that left me speechless. It was as if the entire world paused for a moment, and all that existed was this perfect bite. Every ingredient worked in perfect harmony, creating a taste that was nothing short of heavenly. This was no ordinary bagel. This was the kind of meal you remember for the rest of your life--the kind that stays with you long after you've finished eating. It was, hands down, the best bagel I have ever had, and I've eaten plenty in my day. The entire experience, from the warm, welcoming service to the flawless food, left an indelible mark on me. The staff at Bagel Gourmet are truly exceptional--genuine, attentive, and passionate about what they do. They've created not just a meal, but a moment. I cannot recommend Bagel Gourmet enough. Always a great selection of assorted bagels to pick from. Place is kept very clean. There is a sufficient area to sit and dine and the food comes out quickly and hot. I usually will buy 6 bagels to go but have realized the prices have gone up quite a bit. Sometimes it takes awhile to get waited on if the front end employee is making sandwiches. Perhaps they are in need of more employees.

It certainly wasn't bad, but not the best! The everything bagels did not have the most seasoning and were a little soft (but not in a good way!) The sandwich did have a lot of turkey bacon on it. This cost $6.25.

A forever solid neighborhood performer for years that is willing to adjust and adapt as necessary as evident by the chewier variety of bagels. Truthfully once upon a time their bagels were created for customers whose dentures were wobbling in their mouths but the onion bagel I enjoyed today was crisp, moderately chewy (still not NY style but clearly a bagel not a restyled Kaiser with a hole.), and flavorful with the onions serving as the perfect contrast to the smooth creamy homemade veggie cream cheese. The bagel change elevated the stars from 3 to 5 but the service here for the last several years has always been friendly, neighborly, and top notch. But, today I watched as the staff rushed to help an older woman who fell outside in the parking lot. The woman mattered ... An ice bag was created and as she sat down for her bagel breakfast you could tell that the behind the counter crew had one eye on her as they waited on others. That is going beyond expectations but then again this is a neighborhood member not just an interloper trying to make big bucks. And, the prices are great ... $10 for a Baker's Dozen and $5 for half with day olds wrapped for bargain hunters. As I prepared to leave trays of freshly baked circles were being placed in the bins ready for the lunch crowd! Good start to the day ... And, in these times when people don't show concern for their neighbors I witnessed that some still rush to give a hand. FIVE STARS ...
